Since ancient times, sugar has been deeply rooted in the Japanese palate, especially through traditional sweets, and has become an essential part of our food culture.
As the sugar division of the Okatsune Group, we have specialized in producing zarame sugar, with a focus on premium-grade shiro-zarato (white zarame) used in traditional Japanese confections and seasonings, as well as chu-zarato (caramelized zarame).
Today, we have established a system that ensures the delivery of safe and reliable sugar products under strict quality control.
Among our offerings, we take particular pride in Onizarato, a large-crystal sugar made with exceptional purity.
Its clean, refined sweetness and lack of off-flavors make it an ideal ingredient for skilled confectioners who pursue the highest standards of taste and craftsmanship.
To meet a wider range of needs, we now also offer a powdered version of Onizarato, in addition to the traditional large-crystal type.
